On behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I'd like to extend my congratulations to the Korean-American Women's Associations of the United States of America on their recent foundation. You have my support in your pursuit of friendship between Koreans and Americans, and my appreciation for your promotion of volunteerism and community service. I want to thank those of you who have worked so hard to establish this group, and I wish you the very best in the future.
I hope the advent of the association, with no doubt, will help you address the long standing problems presented to Korean woman in the US and lead the association to success. Given how marvelous the job was done, I have full confidence you will achieve a remarkable degree of progress in both quantity and quality. The future of the association is very bright.
